Life with boys!

I can't figure out how to turn this video so you have to watch it sideways sorry! We got Jaxon some of his own golf clubs for his birthday and it is the best $30 dollars we have ever spent! Almost everyday we walk to the park right by our house so he can golf. He loves it and never gets tired. It is so funny! He is the only three year old I know that would rather watch a golf tournament than a disney movie! There is a huge golf store here and Jaxon would move there if we'd let him! Everyday we get up in the morning and I ask him what he wants to do and he says he wants to go to the golf store! I guess I better start picking up the sport so I can see the men in my life! Dallen of course loves it!

For the holiday I could think of lots to say but I will keep it short. I am proud to be an American and I love this country. Thank you to all the brave men and women who serve to keep our nation free. I saw this video and thought I would share it. I was very impressed! You'll have to go to the bottom of my blog page and stop my music before you play the video so you can hear it. These are six to eight year old girls singing the national anthem, hard to believe!! Going private

I keep hearing horror stories of sick people doing things to people with public blogs. I hate to go private because I love when someone I know "Accidently" finds my blog. Unfortuately there is just to many sick people in this world and I am going to go private to avoid that. Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween this year. It was kind of sad not being in NM for all the Halloween festivities at Tiff and Cam's but it was fun anyway. We started out the night at our ward Trunk or Treat. The party was supposed to start at six and when we got to the church there were only five cars in the parking lot! Luckily more showed up after a half hour or so and the kids had a lot of fun. After the ward party we went to visit the Jones'. They used to live in NM with us while I was growing up. He was my bishop and she was my seminary teacher. They invited us over where they had tons of treats and glow in the dark necklaces and bracelets! The boys loved them and it was nice to be with familiar faces when we knew all our family was together back in NM.

We went Trick or Treating in their neighborhood for quite a while. The boys thought it was so fun! And that neighborhood was definitely the place to go! We got about ten regular sized candy bars and more treats than we can ever eat!

Jaxon and Austin told everyone who asked that they were Woody and Buzz. They haven't ever seen Toy Story (that is one I need to add to our Disney collection) but they still liked being dressed up and getting lots of attention from everyone.

Overall it was a good year for Trick or Treating and we had a great night together as a family!

Jaxon's Birthday

This weekend we celebrated Jaxon's 3rd birthday. My parents were nice enough to drive out for the weekend to celebrate with us. We had a great time and I took way to many pictures to post them all so I had to pick a few and save the rest for the scrapbooks! The first thing Grandpa did when he got here is figure out a way to hang our swing on the back porch for the boys! They were so excited and have loved having it there! The boys were so cute taking turns and pushing each other when the adults were busy!

We did lots of fun stuff while my parents were here. We went to the temple so they could see what it looks like and smell all the wonderful citrus trees on the temple grounds.

This year I did my research and learned how to make cake fondant and I used that to make and decorate Jaxon's cake. It turned out pretty cute. It was cuter in my mind but he loved it and that's all that matters!

To really celebrate Jaxon's special day we went to Peter Piper Pizza and played lots of games and had yummy pizza and bread sticks.

We went a little early and we were sure glad we did because there were lots of birthday parties that day so we played all the games and stuff first and then we ate so we beat the crowds!

Dallen had just as much fun as the boys. He was so good taking them from game to game and helping them ride the rides!

Its a little hard having the boys this close and having presents and stuff for Jaxon and not for Austin. Luckily Jaxon has a short attention span and he would get tired of one toy and move on so Austin could play too.

Even though we didn't celebrate Jaxon's birthday yesterday, when a package came from Uncle Garrett (who is at BYU) I couldn't make him wait! Jaxon was so excited he got a cougars shirt! He and Austin have inherited their love of the cougars from their dad. Garrett was nice enough to send Austin a shirt too even though it wasn't his birthday! Thank you so much Uncle Garrett! I can't get these shirts off them! They love them and so does Dallen! Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra! Go Cougars!
Once they had their "football shirts" on (as Jaxon calls them) they had to play football! Unfortunately instead of playing catch, Jaxon wants to be the kicker, so he has taught Austin how to hold the ball for him! Austin does pretty good and has only been kicked once but he still wants to do it!
Ha Ha Austin looks so funny here! I guess he is stressing about being kicked by the kicker! Thanks so much Garrett!

Jaxon Ty

Today is Jaxon's 3rd Birthday! Even though we aren't celebrating til this weekend when my parents come in to town I had to get on and post a few pictures from the last 3 years. I found so many cute pictures that I wanted to post it was so hard to choose! It was so crazy to look at all those pictures and realize it has already been 3 years! It seems like just yesterday the nurse was handing him to me and congratulating me on my first baby! He has been such a good kid from day one. He was such an easy going, laid back baby and he is still as easy going today! He has brought so much joy into our lives and I can't imagine my life without him! Jaxon, daddy and I love you so much and are so grateful Heavenly Father choose to bless us with you as our son! Happy Birthday!

A day of baking!

Yesterday Dallen volunteered at the special Olympics golf tournament and I really needed to get some cleaning and laundry done. I knew I'd have to think of some things to help entertain the boys so they helped me clean and fold clothes. After they did that we decided to make some homemade bread. The boys love to help put the ingredients into the mixer and watch it mix so I let them help me. After it was done baking I showed Jaxon what we had made and he was so proud! It was so cute! We had a good day cooking and cleaning and we had some yummy bread as a reward!
When Dallen got home Jaxon insisted on wearing Daddy's golf shirt so this is him showing that he is the new caddie!

Michael will probably kill me for using this old picture but I think it is cute! Yesterday was Michael's birthday and unfortunately he was very far away! I told Jaxon and Austin in the morning that it was Michael's birthday and a few hours later Jaxon came in with this head band on his head and said "Mom, will Michael have a good party hat like this for his birthday?" It was so cute I made him take a picture! So Michael I hope you had a nice party hat like this! Sorry we couldn't be there but I hope you had a great day! We love you very much! Happy Birthday!

Arizona State Fair

Last night we decided to load up the boys and head to the Arizona state fair for the night. We had a lot of fun even though it was opening night and really crowded! Dallen's favorite part of the fair is the food so we got him and the boys some food. You can't tell in this picture but these corn dogs were HUGE! Both boys ate the entire thing too but it was so funny because they were really big. We decided to visit the petting zoo since that is the boys favorite thing.
Jaxon isn't really in to getting his picture taken so he stands there for me but he won't ever look at the camera!

A lot of the kids were scared and wouldn't feed the animals but Austin loved it!

This was the craziest petting zoo I have ever seen. It had so many exotic animals for the kids to feed and pet. This is a kangaroo and turtle. They also had a giraffe, zebra, deer, emu, yak, ostrich, and buffalo! It was so hard to get pictures of the kids feeding them though because it was so crowded!
Cheese! I don't know why he closed his eyes!

They had a huge building that was just for kids. It had blocks and a jungle gym and face painting, and jungle bikes and a lot of other stuff. The best part was that it was all free! They boys had a blast!

Jaxon would build a tower and then he wanted to tackle it!
They had a lot of these animals for the kids to ride but Jaxon wanted to ride the tiger.
And of course Austin had to copy his big brother!
We had a lot of fun and were happy that we went. I wish we could have done more but it was just too crowded! They even had an real, live, elephant ride which I thought was so cool but Jaxon wouldn't even consider it so we had to pass.

Yesterday was Dallen's 27th birthday and we had a very fun day celebrating with him. His favorite cake is the confetti sprinkle cake so I made that with the help of the boys. We spent the day going from store to store and watching Dallen pick out his presents with the money he got for his birthday. He wanted a new golf club and some golf shoes and other golf stuff so I let him pick out what he wanted so I didn't have to worry about picking out the wrong thing! The boys had a blast going from golf store to golf store and taking turns hitting golf balls with all the different clubs. At one point Dallen was trying out a club in the driving range and I asked Jaxon if he wanted to go next store to the Toys'R'Us while we waited for Daddy and he said no because he'd rather stay at the golf store! He is definately his Daddy's son and he wants to be just like him!

After the shopping we went to Gardunos for lunch! The food was so good and when I secretly told the waiter it was Dallen's birthday he put together quite a choir to sing happy birthday! (much to Dallen's dismay) We had such a great day and we are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for blessing us with such a great husband and daddy!
Dallen you are such a great Dad to our boys and I couldn't have asked for a better husband! I am so excited to spend the rest of eternity with you! I love you very much and hope you had a great birthday!

We just got home from our visit back to New Mexico and we had a great time! We did so many fun things and saw so many of our friends and family it was hard to choose what pictures to post! These pictures are of the state fair. We had so much fun at the fair. There were so many things for the kids to do and they loved it! This is Jaxon and Jade learning how to milk a cow. Everybody say cheese!
Austin loves his big brother and constantly has to do everything that Jaxon does.
This baby cow was born the night before we came to the fair so he was brand new! Austin loved to pet him and thought he was so cute.
This is where we stopped to take a rest and watch the professional divers dive from heights of up to eighty feet into a pool! Jaxon really liked to watch them.
The day we went to the fair was the military and veterans day so all the different military organizations had tables set up with free stuff for everyone. This was a blow up thing that the Air National Guard set up for all the kids. It was a big hit!

Brody had a great time at the fair too. He was a trooper and was happy to be outside looking at all the people! You could tell he really wanted to get down and run around with Jade and the boys!
They had a farm called Old McDonald's farm where the kids got to get a bucket and gather vegetables and eggs to take to the farmer and in the farm they got to ride these cute little tractors!
Austin had a good time riding these tractors he even said cheese for me to take a picture!
Thanks to my family for the great time we had there. We had a really good dinner with Brad and Lisa and Jade's birthday party was so much fun! I will have to post some pictures from the party at another time but we sure had a great time!

Play Dough

We didn't go to church today because Austin is just now getting over a cold he has had for weeks and I wanted to keep him away from other kids so he doesn't pass it on or get the germ again before we head back to New Mexico for a visit! So since we were home all day I made some play dough for the boys to play with. I didn't have any food coloring so we had to have boring old white play dough but the boys still had fun with it.
This was Austin the whole time. He kept crying because I wouldn't let him eat the play dough! You would think it wouldn't be good to eat since it has so much salt in it but he still wanted to eat it! I attempted to make every animal they asked me to make and they had fun smashing them when I was finished making them. These are elephants.

Another week of storytime!

Ok so I promise I am not going to post something every time we go to story time and bore you all do death but I couldn't resist today! The boys made some very handsome glasses and they were willing to wear them for a picture so I had to post it. It has been so much fun going to this story time. It is fun as a mom to watch your kids get so excited about reading and learning crafts. I feel like a kid again when we go because it is so fun to watch them learn! Its little things like this that remind me how lucky I am to be a stay-at-home mom!

Story time

I am loving living somewhere where everything is close! In New Mexico we had to drive forever to get anywhere fun! The mall is five minutes away from us here and there is a Barnes and Noble in the mall that does a story time every Tuesday and Friday mornings. We went yesterday and the boys loved it! They read a story and sing songs and then do a craft. Jaxon made this hat and wanted me to take a picture! Austin is still a little young and the stories don't keep his attention like they do for Jaxon but he still goes and likes to help Jaxon make a craft. We will definitely make it a regular trip for us!

Mesa Arizona Temple

We didn't have anything real exciting planned for the holiday today so we decided to go for a drive and see the temple. It is a beautiful temple and we had a good time walking around the grounds and visiting the visitors center. There was a nice guy there that offered to take a picture of all of us alongside the temple.
The temple grounds are so pretty. They had a ton of flowers planted and there are orange, lemon and lime trees planted so when the wind blows you can smell the citrus smell.

The boys would not look at the camera here. We took about ten pictures in a row trying to get them to look and we couldn't manage to get one so we just gave up! lol

Welcome to Arizona!

Well we finally made it to Arizona! It was quite the trip with lots of drama but we are here. We were supposed to be moving in to a condo but when we got here we walked in to the condo and I just started crying! It was so dirty and it stunk so bad! There was trash everywhere and the closet doors were just laying on the floor and it was not livable! So we called the landlord and told him we wanted our money back and then we all climbed in the car and started apartment searching! We were all so tired from the six hour drive to get here and this was the last thing we needed but after six or so tries we finally found somewhere we liked that could get us in immediately. This is the view of our apartment from the outside. Unfortunately we are on the second floor which made moving in so much harder! Poor Dallen walked up and down those stairs a million times carrying in all our stuff! He was such a hard worker in that Arizona heat and I was grateful to have such a great husband to move all our stuff! This is the view from our back porch that building there is the pool house. The pool is right on the other side but you can't really see it. I didn't want to go down to the pool with my camera because I felt like a dork! But the pool is so nice and the boys and I have spent a ton of time there already.

This is our back porch and laundry room. The laundry room is out there so that when you do your laundry it doesn't make your house hot.
This is the view from our front door. Its actually a pretty big living room but you can't really tell from the pictures.
This is the hall that leads to our bedroom the bathroom and the boys room.
This is the dining room and the door that leads out to our balcony.

This is the view of the kitchen from the hall. There are still a few boxes left out and my curtains and a few shelves still need to be hung, but other than that we are pretty much unpacked.

This is the view of the kitchen from the dining room. I am so used to my old kitchen and all the cupboard space! I don't have room here to put everything in its own cupboard but oh well.
This is Jaxon's bed. He was excited to put a picture of his bed on the computer. I tried to get him to sit on his bed and be in the picture but he wouldn't.
This is Austin's bed and their dresser. I have a shelf that still needs to be hung that hangs over the crib and all the stuff on the dresser goes on that shelf.
This is the boys closet and toys. I still need to hang their curtains and really organize everything but they seem to like it.
This is the main bathroom. Dallen really wanted a golf room so I compromised and told him we could have a golf bathroom. I set out to find stuff we would both like and I actually really like the way it turned out.

I don't think this is exactly what he had in mind when he said he wanted a golf room but he likes it anyway.

This is the bathroom in our bedroom. My bathroom decor and my bedroom decor don't match but this is what I had so I will just have to live with it.

This is the sink and cupboards where our bedroom meets the bathroom. This is in our bedroom and the shower and toilet have a door that shuts so you have privacy.Our room is kind of long and skinny so there was no way to get it all in one shot!
We are happy to be here and settled and we are happy with the place we found to live! It is going to be an exciting time for our family and we are looking forward to the next 16 months here while Dallen finishes school.

Fun with Jade!

So I am going to post twice in a row since I don't know when I will be able to post again since we'll be in the middle of moving. Today Tiffany and her kids came down to play for a while and the kids had a blast. Jaxon and Jade are such good friends and they had so much fun together. We are going to really miss hanging out with them! I turned on our flood water and the kids played in the water and the dirt! They would go sit in the water and then roll in the dirt! They were so dirty!
Tiffany and I were laughing at these too because they do not look like cousins. They look like brother and sister! They have the same hair, eye color and same body! People are always surprised when we tell them they are cousins and not siblings!
Jade wore a pair of Jaxon's underpants (which he usually won't wear!) and once she put them on he had to wear them too! Maybe I'll send him to Tiffany's house and have her potty train him and then she can send him back!

My brother Michael is here for a couple weeks and so we invited him to come over and play too. He would fill up this bucket of water and dump it on the kids heads! They loved it and laughed so hard! All the kids adore Michael and really miss him when he has to leave! He is such a good sport to play with them and they just think he is the greatest! Since he has been home to visit Jaxon asks for him the second he wakes up!

Even Austin would let Michael dump the bucket on his head! They had so much fun! Thanks Uncle Michael for being such a good sport! You are the best! We will miss you when you go back to Kansas!

Yard Sale

So this past weekend my whole family got together to have a big yard sale. Dallen and I had a ton of stuff to sell off before we move and we invited everyone to come and bring their stuff and we'd have one big yard sale. It was a lot of work but a good success. We got rid of most of the stuff we had and what we didn't sell we gave away. We had a lot of fun and I wanted to thank my parents for letting us use their yard since they live in a good location! Thanks to my sisters and their husbands too for dragging all their stuff down here to hang out!

The past two weeks we have been in Idaho visiting Dallen's family. While we were there we were lucky enough to celebrate Mike and Heidi's wedding. We are so excited for you guys and were happy to share that special time with you. Mike the boys already love you and we are all so happy you are apart of our family! We wish you guys the best in your marrige! Thanks Tom and Patty for all you did for us while we were there we had a really great visit and we look forward to the next time we can get together!

This is Heidi and Mike as they came out of the temple. The ceremony was very good and even though I told myself I wasn't going to cry I still did!
The boys really loved Heidi's pretty dress and flowers. She looked very pretty and was so nice to still talk to the boys when there were so many people all around.

Jaxon kept trying to take the bouquet to hold while Heidi was trying to get pictures taken. He said he wanted to smell the flowers!
Here is a picture of our family but we are all looking at the photographers camera so we aren't really looking but I still posted it since we don't have the photographers pictures yet.

This is our little family outside the Logan temple. It is such a beautiful temple! Someday I hope to get a family picture with everyone looking and acting normal! Lol!

Here is the cutting of the wedding cake. Mike and Heidi were so nice they didn't get cake anywhere other than in each others mouth!

Autsin loved the ladies at the reception. I sat him down on this chair next to Mike's niece and he immediately put his arm up on the chair and started talking to her!
Grandma Patty and Grandpa Tom bought the boys these tiny ties to match the wedding party! They looked so handsome!
Jaxon didn't love his top button done up and his tie. I made him stand still for a picture but I couldn't make him make a normal face or smile! Oh well he still looks very handsome!

Allie and Zach

This past weekend my cousin Allie got married in Ridgeway Colorado and we were all lucky enough to go. I didn't manage to get a picture of her with Zach the groom but I guess a picture with her mom will work! Allie and Zach we are happy for you and wish you all the best in your new marriage! We had so much fun up there and can't wait to see you all again!

This is my cousin Tyler and his wife Alyssa. As you can see Tyler has a great personality and likes to make people laugh. Thanks Tyler and Alyssa for the fun time and for the toys you bought my kids they loved them!

Dallen isn't a big dancer so when the dance music started to play at the reception he hung out with my grandma so he didn't have to dance! My grandma later said she was happy to have had the company so good job Dallen!

This is the mother and father of the bride! They did such a good job preparing everything and throwing an amazing party so thank you Vicki and Randy for all the fun!

They had balloons all over the floor at the reception so Jaxon and Austin were busy all night playing with them and I occasionally could snap a picture as they passed by!

It was so great to see all my family again and we had a really good time talking to everyone. My cousin Molly here was definitely the life of the party as always and we had fun just watching her!
All the chairs were decorated with these different colored bows and I was sitting at the table visiting when Jaxon went running by with them all on his head! He is so weird!

Me, Lisa and Erin were bridesmaids so that is why we are all matching and Brad and Dallen kind hung out together while we were doing all the pictures and stuff. We have good husbands that get along well so we didn't have to worry!

Hoots!

So a couple days ago my sister called and invited the boys and I to come with her to this new place called Hoots. So we made a plan to meet and Dallen's boss called and told him he didn't have to work so we all got to go together. It was such a fun place! We had so much fun! Dallen and I were so worn out by the time we left we both needed a nap! The place has huge blow up slides and obstacle courses that lead to more slides and they encourage the parents to get in and play with the kids so Dallen and I did just that! I was so glad that Dallen was able to come because I never could have climbed that slide by myself the whole time!
My sister has a 5 month old baby and her sister in law that came has a 1 month old baby so I took the kids to play so they could hold their babies. We had so much fun going down the slides together!
Austin wasn't scared a bit. He laughed so hard every time he came to the bottom of the slide!
Here is Dallen taking his turn taking all the kids down the slide! He was such a good sport taking all the kids up and down the slide a million times! But I think he was having just as much fun as the kids were!
I can never get a picture with both my kids looking at the camera. Here I couldn't even get one kid to look at the camera!

We had a great 4Th of July this year. The 4Th has always been one of my favorite holidays because I am so proud to be an American. I had to start my post off with a salute to my brother who is away with the Air Force. Michael I wanted to thank you and all the other servicemen and women for your selfless service for our country. We were able to celebrate with family and friends while you were all so far from those you hold dear. Thank you for your sacrifice so that I can be a free American citizen. We are so blessed to live in a free nation and I am grateful there are still noble and courageous men and women willing to fight to maintain all we have. We missed you and hope you had a good holiday even though you were far away from us! You are the best and we love you more than you'll ever know! Thank you for being our Hero! To start off the day Dallen and I and the boys met up with my family and went to the parade! It was a lot of fun and the boys loved seeing all the horses and flags!
I think their favorite part of the parade was all the candy they got to collect as the cars and floats passed by! We came home with lots of candy.

We have to thank Dallen and my dad for the great seats we had. They went out and got us a spot an hour and a half before the parade started and I am sure glad they did because we had really good seats!
After the parade we went up to my sister Lisa's house and we ate great food and hung out and then went out with all her neighbors and did fireworks. Jaxon held this sparkler but you can tell by the look on his face that he didn't really like it!

Austin wouldn't hold the sparkler but he would let grandma hold it and he would just watch.
Jaxon did not like the noisy fireworks. We ended up going in the house early because the boys weren't big fans of the fireworks. They liked them until they started lighting the fireworks that scream and then they had had enough!
It was a great holiday and we had a really good time. Thanks to Brad and Lisa for letting us come up and make a mess in your house! We had a great time and we were happy to spend the day with family and friends!

My failed experiment!

So we have our Church at eleven and have had a really hard time with it since both boys usually go down for a nap at noon. Austin usually will sleep in Church so he isn't usually as tired as jaxon by the end of Church. Usually when we get home I put Jaxon down for a nap but it really throws us off because then he wakes up late and isn't ready for bed until really late. So yesterday I decided to see what would happen if I just let him stay up and not have a nap and go to bed early. He was fine and playing great with Austin and I and then I got up to fold some laundry. I could hear the boys laughing and playing as they were wrapping a rope around each other and pretending they were stuck but about halfway through my pile it got quiet. So I went in the room and found Austin still tied up and Jaxon crashed on our love sac. It was so cute I had to take a picture. Falling asleep just anywhere is so our of character for Jaxon that I was shocked to see it! I felt bad I made him so tired he had to just crash where ever he could! I guess the no nap plan didn't work so great!

I love the summer time! I babysit a little girl named Lexi everyday and they were outside today playing and having a treat and I thought they all looked so cute sitting together. The sun was really bright and I had a hard time getting them all to look at the camera for a picture but oh well!

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there! I wanted to post a little thing to honor the most important fathers in my life. Starting out with the most important father in my life and that is the father of my beautiful children! Dallen you are an amazing father and husband and I couldn't have asked for anything better! Thanks for working so hard for us and being so good to our two boys! I decided to post pictures of the days our kids were born and you were welcomed into fatherhood! WE LOVE YOU DALLEN!

Last I wanted to post a picture of Tom. I don't know what I did in my previous life to have been so lucky to have met and married Dallen and in doing so gained such a great extended family. Tom you are a great example of a good dad and I am so glad Dallen and my boys have you for an example! Thanks for all you have done for our little family and for the love and support you always show! Our great night out!

Dallen and I had a great night out last night. For an early Father's Day present Dallen and I bought tickets to the Brad Paisley concert. It was so much fun! He put on an amazing show and we really had a blast! This is us waiting for the concert to start.
We bought the lawn seat tickets so we were pretty far away for the opening acts. Since it was still light out the big projection screens weren't on yet so we didn't get to see them really good. The opening acts were Julianne Huff, Chuck Wicks and Jewel who now has a country album out. They were pretty good but we were really there to see Brad Paisley.
This is before the show started as they were setting up the stage.
So Dallen and I were sitting there in our lawn seats after all the opening acts were done and some guy came up to us and asked us if we wanted better seats for Brad Paisley. We of course said yes and he gave us tickets to the section right behind the front section! It was so awesome!

So these were pictures of Brad from our new improved seats!

He was such an entertaining performer. It is amazing what modern technology can do becasue he had the coolest background videos and stuff throughout the entire show! It was really great!

Golfer's Paradise

This past weekend Dallen and I decided to take the boys to the putt putt golf course and spend the day golfing. Jaxon always asks to go golfing but he can't go on a real course with Dallen yet because he is still too young. He was so excited to go play golf with Daddy. Austin even wanted to play and actually did pretty good hitting the ball when he wasn't throwing it! Here they are trying to decide if they should play the river course or the lake course.
They had so much fun and were so excited about every hole that the whole taking turns thing didn't really last.
Halfway through the course Austin got mad that his club wasn't like Jaxon and Dallen's so Dallen had to trade and finish the course with the little plastic club Austin was supposed to use.
Jaxon had a blast and kept saying thank you over and over for taking him. It was a fun day but now every morning when he wakes up he asks if we are going to go golfing! We will have to go again another day!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

This past week was my mom's birthday so to celebrate we decided to go up the canyon and have a picnic and play in the water. Brad and Lisa were on a cruise so they weren't able to come but we missed them. We all brought our lunches and we ate and played in the water and hiked. It was a great day. We had heard about these hot springs up there and so we decided to hike up to them and after about fifteen minutes we were all carrying the kids and so we stopped someone and asked them how much longer we had until we got to the springs and they told us we weren't even half way yet! So we turned around and just played in the cold river.
Jaxon said the water was too cold so he hung out with Grandma and Erin on the banks while Austin and Dallen played in the water.

Austin and Jaxon love to throw rocks in the water and they had a blast throwing as many rocks as they wanted. It was a fun day.

Memorial Weekend!

This Memorial weekend was really fun for our family. On Saturday Dallen's sister Heidi came into town and brought her fiance with her. We had a lot of fun getting to know Mike and are excited for them to get married and for him to officially join our family. Mike I hope you weren't too bored or annoyed by our kids but we had a lot of fun getting to know you! We went bowling and out to eat and to the zoo but we kept forgetting to bring our cameras so we only got these few pictures at the zoo.

Monday afternoon after we took Heidi and Mike to the airport we headed over to the park with a bunch of our friends to play games and have a BBQ. We had a lot of fun and good food. This is me and my good friends Jenna and Tammy watching the kids while everyone else played kick ball. There were seven couples and about 16 kids so we had our hands full! But the kids had a blast and got really dirty!

Dallen's team won by a lot of points. Somehow one team got all the best players and it wasn't really a very close game.

Thanks to everyone that came and helped plan this fun outing! We had a lot of fun and hopefully we can do it again!

Dallen had to take our only car to work today and so by the end of the day the boys and I were a little stir crazy! So I got out my camera and let Jaxon take pictures of Austin and I took a few of the boys and I. Some days may not be real exciting but I am so glad I can be a stay at home mom and raise my boys! Thanks Dallen for working so hard for our little family! We love you!

Dallen has his last finals this week for this semester and then he is done with school for the summer. So we decided to go out and celebrate as a family. First Dallen had to wash his truck for work so he had the boys help him out with that. They had a really good time and the truck got pretty clean despite the boys "helping" him.
Jaxon took his job seriously and really wanted to help his Daddy.

Austin on the other hand didn't much care about the truck. He just went to the end of the driveway where all the water was running off and he just played in the mud and rocks.
After the truck was done we had to put them in their little pool to try to somewhat clean them off so that my bath tub wasn't full of the several inches of mud that was caked on them.
After we got cleaned up we went to the bowling alley and bowled a couple games together. They even had tiny shoes for the boys to wear. It was so cute!
I won the first game and Dallen won the second but as you can see my overall average was better and I won by six points! Dallen is so competitive it really bugs him when I win!

Overall it was a great day and it made me so grateful for my little family! We are defiantly going to have to do this more often!

We went out and bought Jaxon and Austin a new pool to have for the summer and they loved it! Austin wouldn't get in but he had fun splashing from the side and throwing things in the water! Jaxon loved to get in and splash but his favorite part was playing basketball with Daddy! We'll see how long the pool lasts before its popped but I am sure we will have fun until then!

Fun Day and the Aquarium

I usually babysit a little girl every morning from eight til noon but I didn't have to babysit this week and so the boys and I decided to go up to the aquarium and look around and play. We had such a fun day! I am so thankful to have an awesome husband who works so hard and goes to school so I can stay at home with our boys! I feel so lucky! The boys were so excited about the fish and they thought it was so cool when the stingrays would swim right up to the glass where they were standing!
Jaxon was such a good big brother to help hold Austin long enough for me to get a picture of them both. I have given up trying to get a picture of them both looking perfectly at the camera because it is impossible!
Austin loves to play in the dirt. There was a slide right off to his right but he didn't care about that too much the dirt was way too fun I guess!
Peek a boo! Jaxon was making Austin laugh really hard peeking out from behind this fence. It was so funny!
We had a great day and it was worth the twenty minute drive to get there!

Making Cookies

So today I thought it would be fun to make sugar cookies with the boys. We went to the store and Jaxon got to pick out the sprinkles he wanted and he got to pick which cookie cutter we used. He picked Chirstmas sprinkles on heart shaped cookies! Needless to say they are probably the ugliest cookies I have ever seen but we had a blast and made a huge mess! Jaxon helped cut, frost and decorate the cookies and he ate half of them before we were even finished! It was a fun day even though the cookies weren't very cute! This is the finished product! Aren't they cute!
Austin didn't want to eat the cookie he just rubbed the frosting off with his fingers and sucked it till he couldn't get anymore!

Jaxon was concentrating very hard as he placed the sprinkles in the best spot!

Sports, Sports and more Sports!

Much to Dallen's delight our boys love sports! It doesn't matter what sport, if it has a ball, they love it! Jaxon always wants to play baseball and he can't wait until his dad gets home from work everyday so they can play. I try to play with him but I guess I don't do it good because he always tells me I need to catch the ball and hit it without missing! Austin loves it just as much as Jaxon and even though the bat is twice his size he still gets it and swings with all his might! It is so fun to watch all my boys play together. I can already see my future now with saturdays full of lots of sporting events!

Wow these last couple weeks have been really busy but so fun for our family! Dallen's family drove all the way down here from Idaho to visit us and we had a blast! They rented a big surburban to drive down so that when they got here we could all ride in the same car everywhere we went! It was so nice to have them here to visit and they did so much for us while they were here! We wish they could be around more often! While they were here we went to the zoo, we went bowling and all sorts of fun stuff. The boys had so much fun and Jaxon is still asking where Grandma, Grandpa and Garrett went! He was sad to see them go. They were here for easter too which was fun so they got together with my family and we all had one big party. We had a lot of fun and my mom suprised the kids with real baby chickens in their easter baskets! She told them they could keep them but we all quickly declined that offer! I don't want chickens! Thanks Tom, Patty and Garrett for all you did for us! Heidi we loved when you came to visit too! We love you all!

Feeding the Ducks

The weather has been so pretty here and so I decided to take the boys to the park and let them feed the ducks. It was pretty fun and Jaxon really liked it a lot. Austin didn't know what to think, he liked the ducks but he couldn't figure out why we were giving them perfectly good food and he kept trying to eat everything we threw to the ducks! It was a fun trip and I definately think we will go again!

My brother Michael came in to town this week and we had a blast hanging out with him. He is in the United States Air Force and is stationed in Kansas so we don't get to see him a lot so when he is here we make the best of it and the kids really tire him out! But he is a great uncle and we all had so much fun with him! We played outside everyday and we went to the zoo where Michael sprinted around pulling Jaxon and Jade in the wagon! They thought it was so much fun and it has been great to have a visit with him! We love you so much Michael and we are so grateful for the choice you made to serve our country! Without brave men like you we wouldn't be free to enjoy all that we enjoy! You are the best of the best and we are proud to call you our brother and uncle! May our Heavenly Father protect you as you put our life on the line for others and for our great nation! Thank you!

So I had to post this. Austin has been sick with ear infections the last couple weeks and we have had the hardest time getting him over them! We went to the doctor a lot in the last little bit and they were talking about maybe having to put tubes in Austins ears if the infection didn't get better. So needless to say I was worried and we can home from the doctor and Dallen gave Austin a blessing that he would recover and not need tubes in his ears. Well today I was putting away laundry and Austin and Jaxon were playing in their room. I could hear that something was bugging Austin so I came in to see what was going on and Jaxon had him pinned on the floor with his hands on his head! I asked him what he was doing and he said he was saying a prayer on Austin so I had to get a picture! It was so cute and I am thankful to have a husband who holds the priesthood and can set that good example for my kids!

January 28th was Austin's 1st birthday! Unfortuately he wasn't feeling good so we didn't do anything too exciting. He has a double ear infection and a really bad cough and runny nose! I can't wait for the cold weather to go away and take all the sickness with it! Since he was sick Jade, Tiffany and Cam didn't come down for the party because they are going to have a baby pretty soon and no one wants to be sick with a new baby! We missed them though. The family just got together and had spaghetti and cake and ice cream and opened presents. It was a good night and we appreciate our great family for being there to support us! I can't believe he is already one year old. It seems like just yesterday when I found out I was pregnant with him. He is such a blessing in our lives and I am so grateful to be his mom. We love you Austin!
I made Austin a little cake of his own with frosting and everything. He grabbed it and did not like the frosting on his fingers so I tried to feed the cake to him on a fork and he just spit it out! I don't know if that means he doesn't like cake or if I am just a bad cook!

We Thank Thee Oh God For A Prophet!

I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for our dear prophet Gordon B Hinckley. I was sad when I heard he had passed away but the first thing I thought was now he is with his wife who he missed so dearly and with our Savior. I love him so much and he touched my life in so many ways. I will miss his humor and the sweet spirit of the Holy Ghost that he carried with him. I am grateful to have lived during his presidency. God be with you till be meet again President Hinckley.

A day at the zoo!

Yesterday was Dallen's day off and the weather was pretty nice so we decided to go to the zoo. It was so nice to go back again. We haven't gone since the weather got cold and the boys had a blast. We started off the day in heavy coats but ended up stripping off several layers by the time we got half way through the zoo. It was a great family day at the zoo! Since Jaxon was running around like crazy we ended up getting a lot more pictures of Austin because he couldn't get away!

Pine Wood Derby

Dallen was called as the Elder's Quorum President in July of last year and for an activity they planned a Pine Wood Derby for the men of the Elder's Quorum. There was a good turn out and all the men were extremely competitive as they raced their cars. Overall the night was really a success and Dallen's car didn't win but wasn't the worst! So I call that a success! Good Job Dallen! This was Dallen's car. I guess you can tell who his favorite team is!
Austin was on the go all night long. He didn't sit still for a minute and he was so tired by the end of the night!

Jaxon loved every second of the night but could not understand why it wasn't always his turn!We brought him a car to play with but he wanted one like Daddy's so one of the missionaries serving in the ward gave Jaxon his car to play with for the night. It was very nice of him and it made Jaxon's night.
This wasn't all of the cars but we took some pictures of the cars that were made for the night.

Christmas with the Harding's!

We had Christmas morning at our house where we opened presents and played and then we all headed back over to my mom's house where we played games and ate! Jaxon loved ripping the paper off all the presents.
After Jaxon opened the present Austin would come along and play with it. They had a good little system down!
Jaxon and Austin got gold fish in their stockings. Jaxon didn't want to wait for help in opening them so he opened them himself! What a mess!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! We had a great holiday and I hope you all did as well! We missed those of our family that couldn't be here with us but we hope you all felt our love! Jaxon and Austin had so much fun getting pampered and spoiled by all their aunts and uncles! We all got several board games for Christmas and any second the kids were sleeping we all took advantage of the opportunity to play!

Yard Work

Dallen had to fix our fence today because even though we live on 3 Acres our dog still gets out! You would think he had plenty of room but I guess not. So while he worked, Jaxon and Austin helped by handing him tools and nails. Hopefully they got it fixed and we won't have to worry about the dog escaping anymore! I am sure Dallen could have finished it much faster without his little helpers but he is a great dad and he let them help him as long as they wanted to.

Merry Christmas

When we got home from Idaho after Thanksgiving we got our christmas tree out and set it all up with the help of our boys. Since then the tree has been knocked over twice and several ornaments and the tree stand have been broken! Jaxon has pulled the tree over on top of him twice now trying to pull the ornaments off. He is just a typical, always curious boy and I guess I'll have to wait until he moves out to have anything nice! :)

Thanksgiving 2007

This year we spent Thanksgiving up in Idaho with Dallen's family. We had a blast and got to see all of our close family. There were too many people to take pictures of us actually eating thanksgiving dinner but we got plenty of other pictures taken. Thanks Tom and Patty for all you did for us while we were up there. You are great grandparents and we really had a great time!

Jaxon got his pictures taken yesterday. We want to try to get their pictures taken every year so these were Jaxon's 2 year pictures. He was not real thrilled to pose and just wanted to play ball the whole time but the pictures turned out cute and we sure love him. We also got some pictures of our family taken and some of the boys together and they are posted on the side. We had fun but it was really hard getting a picture with both Jaxon and Austin looking at the camera! But they turned out cute and we are happy.

Softball Tournament

to watch and cheer them on. They
won the first game they played in a nail biting come back. But unfortunately they couldn't win the next two games. But we still had a great time watching. The kids got nice and dirty and by the time it was all over Jaxon was so exhausted he fell asleep in the car but he refused to let us take his mit and ball. He is a sports lover just like his dad! Good Job Obees team and maybe you'll win it all next year!

Thanks to all of you who came and watched and supported the guys. It was a fun day and I am glad everyone stuck it out and stayed around to watch.

Halloween!

We had a great Halloween! Dallen, Cam and Brad spent the night scaring kids as they came to the house for candy. They had a blast but there was more than one kid who left the house crying!

Jaxon and Jade had a blast and ate way too much candy before the night was over! Jaxon was bouncing off the walls! Austin went to bed early so he didn't go out with us.
